The Maler und Anstreicher trade covers all painting and surface finishing work:

Painter vs. Insulation (WDVS)
Painting on insulation systems is covered by this trade. However, the installation of thermal
insulation systems (WDVS) itself requires a Waermedaemmer or Baumeister license.

- Apprenticeship (Lehrabschluss) as painter + additional qualification
